History
Jade was born to Shannon and Seamus McGovern, and everything was fairly normal. She scraped her knees, achieved decent grades, and at the age of eight she started ballet. Ballet was the one place she felt she could be herself, let loose. She's a naturally shy girl, but ballet taught her to come out of her shell. And she thrived. Jade loved being on the floor, and she continued it even into high school.
And then her leg started to hurt. She was sixteen and she started complaining of stiffness and a constant soreness in her left leg. Her mother took her to the doctor's and within a month, Jade was diagnosed with soft tissue carcinoma in her leg. She needed an operation that left her barely mobile. It took months of rehabilitation and chemotherapy, but eight months later she got a clean bill of health.
She went on her with her life, graduating, but now with a dream of dancing dashed, Jade took two years off of school. Jade worked at her father's law firm. Deciding on New York University, she finally worked up the nerve to travel across the ocean and went to school for English Lit.
After completing her degree, she wound back up home. She's looking at continuing on in a law degree to help her dad's firm. For now she's working there for the time being, still trying to find herself after everything that's happened. Her father has offered to help, sending her to London often with requests for work.
*In different storylines, she can be taken from different points. In New York, Jade is trying to move on from losing someone she loved to a similar illness that she had. She's struggling as a writer, trying to find who she is and what to do now.

Appearance
Jade is tiny, standing at only 5'. She has a slight build, and never quite got back into eating normally. Not that she has or looks like she has an eating disorder. She has long, brown hair and a look of shyness to match her personality. Her default look is a smile though, and she tends toward flowing dresses or rather dressed down look, jeans and a pea coat probably.
